RUNNING WORKSHOPS

During this day-long Chi Running Workshop, you will become mindful of your body position and correct posture for improved running technique. Posture is the most important part of good running form. When you run with incorrect posture it causes fatigue, discomfort and eventually pain.

“With a little bit of focus and lots of relaxation you will become a much more efficient runner, with a lot less impact on your body.” - Catherina McKiernan

The workshop includes Chi running drills, video analysis, a Q&A section and easy and relaxed runs at a pace that is suitable for all attending.

Video Analysis: At the start of the workshop, I conduct video analysis of your running style, this allows me to advise    on the key areas that need focus to improve your running form. One or two changes can make a big difference and help you greatly with their running.

Drills: A core element of the day focuses on a series of drills and exercises focusing on posture, leaning, heel lift and arm swing. You can practice them in everyday life movement, so that they become familiar and then can easily transfer into your running.

Putting it into Practice: During an easy run I mentor you through each core drills, giving you the opportunity to get the feel of running more efficiently and with good mechanics.

Questions and Answers: In the Q&A I cover a wide variety of running related questions about training, diet, footwear, breathing technique etc. and any other topics you might wish to discuss.

Recap Run: We finish off the day with another short run, where I take time, one to one with each runner to focuses in on the areas in which need most practice.
